Focus on sustainable fabric graphics by recycling plastic bottles

Did you know that 500 billion plastic bottles are used every year? That means, there are 66 times as many plastic bottles as there are humans on the planet.

A single plastic bottle can last for 450 years in the marine environment of which 99% sinks direct to the sea floor.

Our commitment to sustainability goes way beyond what we’re doing internally to recycle and operate more sustainably, although you can read about this in our blog post 5 ways we're taking sustainability in print to the next level.

We’re always on the lookout for new, innovative products that we can deliver to our clients and in this blog post we explore fabric display graphics that are produced using recycled plastic bottles.

Printed fabric graphics have been a popular display solution for years, being suitable for lots of different applications from retail and hospitality to exhibitions and events.

Thanks to new, innovative technology, plastic bottles are being recycled and repurposed into fabric textiles that we then turn into beautiful printed graphics that are:

  • Made from sustainable materials

  • 100% recyclable

  • Printed with eco-friendly inks

The process is pretty incredible, with plastic bottles turned into recycled plastic chips that are then transformed into fibres that are woven into a sustainable fabric material that we then pass through our printing process, using eco-friendly inks of course.

We then stitch 100% recyclable PVC-free edging to these new-world printed fabrics, for easy fitting into the profiles of modern and popular, recyclable tension fabric frames, creating the perfect solution to today's need for sustainable POS and graphic display.

Together we can take plastic out of the ocean and recycle it into something stunning.

Here’s some of the printed fabric graphic displays we’ve created for our clients…
